Irente Viewpoint — Sunset

If you only have an evening in Lushoto — or you'd prefer a shorter walk — this is our recommendation. Set out from your hotel in the late afternoon and follow village paths uphill toward the Irente cliff edge. You'll arrive in time to watch the sun slip behind the western hills and the plains turn gold and rose a thousand metres below.

Sundowners are easy to arrange: order your drinks from the Lawns Hotel bar at the time of booking and we'll have them waiting at the viewpoint. Once the sun has set, a private vehicle will collect you and bring you home — no walking in the dark.
