Vuga Printing Press & Sakarani Wine Tour
Begin with a private drive through the mountains to Soni, a tidy village perched at 1,300 metres. Those who'd like to can take the short walk down to the Soni Falls before continuing to Vuga Press, an old German printing house where books and church materials have been produced since the colonial era. The original presses still sit in their workshop, and the staff are happy to show you how they were operated.
From Vuga, drive further uphill to the Sakarani convent, where the sisters make wine from locally grown grapes. They will guide you through their winery before pouring a tasting and laying out a picnic lunch in the gardens. When you are ready, your driver will take you back down to your hotel.

Best time of year: Year-round. Roads are most comfortable in the dry season (June–October, January–February); the convent gardens are at their greenest just after the rains.
