Kisasa Waterfall
Walk out from your hotel through small farms and a stretch of planted forest to reach Kisasa — at around 75 metres, the tallest waterfall in the Lushoto area. The water spills over a curtain of dark rock, surrounded by tall palms; it is more dramatic than Mkuzi, though without a swimming pool below.
The final descent to the base of the falls is steep, so go slowly, and ask your guide to point out the smaller side viewpoints along the way. We can arrange a picnic lunch for an additional 15,000 TZS per person if you'd like to linger.

What to Bring
- Sturdy hiking shoes — the descent is steep and can be slippery
- Light layers — mornings are cool, afternoons warmer
- Light rain jacket (mountain weather changes quickly)
- Sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
- 1–2 litres of water per person
- Camera or phone for the views
Best time of year: April–June and November–December for the most powerful falls. June–October for safer footing on the descent.
